Fun with Aiden

Our little Aiden is growing so much. He is quickly creeping up to 12 weeks and each moment with him is so much fun. He smiles, coos, and I think I may have even heard a little laugh out of him today when David and I were talking to him & giving him some tickles. Each day I think he looks a little bit more like David, but he definitely looks just like Jim. His little personality is coming out more and more. In carseat news, last Sunday he actually sat in it for a car ride from church to a restaurant, awake AND content. We brought him inside in the carseat and after a few minutes of smiling at everyone and looking around, he actually fell asleep! IN his carseat; on his own. That was huge for him :) He really is such a sweetheart and definitely LOVES his big brother to pieces. David can really get him smiling! Just these past couple of days he's really been staring at his hands, trying to figure out how to use them. One day David & I took out a few colored rings and things for Aiden and he has been trying to grab at them ever since. My oh my how our little guy is growing! At his 2 month check up he weighed 12 lbs 12 oz!

Tummy time turned into both boys playing on the floor time and I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures of this brotherly love

Hello sweet Aiden Michael, what a joy you are!

Upward Soccer

We are now in week 5 of Upward soccer and things are going great! Jim is a wonderful coach to a group of 6 four & five year olds and it is so much fun for me to watch him lead and guide these little kids. This past Saturday David made his first goal at the end of the game and we couldn't be prouder! He is learning so much from "Coach Daddy" and we are meeting some great new friends. It is fun to watch God work in all our lives through this ministry. Aiden & I cheer everyone on from the sidelines. Aiden has been so cute, just sitting in the stroller watching his brother play. The weather has been so back and forth: we'll be freezing, then it will be sunny, and then rain, then warm, then very cold....but we have had lots of fun nonetheless.

Jim's 30th Birthday

April 1st, we celebrated my best friend's birthday! Jim turned 30! The teens had a trip to Raleigh for the Monster Jam planned and so the kids and I tagged along with Jim and the crew to watch some seriously LOUD, but fun Monster trucks. Thankfully we had some ear protection for David & Aiden. David absolutely LOVED it and has recently changed his "I want to fly airplanes when I grow up" to "I want to drive monster trucks" (though just the other day, he did changed it back again). During the day, the boys and I picked up a cake for Jim, marble-his favorite, and bought two monster trucks to decorate the top. David was excited to know that after Daddy's birthday, he was going to get to keep the trucks. :)
Happy Belated birthday to my man! God has truly blessed us with a wonderful Daddy, Husband, & Friend!
Monster Truck cake

David was very proud of it. He was excited about the trucks, I was excited about eating the cake.

It was definitely the loudest in the beginning when all of the trucks came roaring out!

Who could resist those cheeks????

Super Duper ear protection

More pictures of CA

This is actually a picture of Aiden while sitting in his carseat (shocker I know) watching David & Jim during soccer practice 2 days before we left for CA. He was super happy and content the entire time even being strapped in. What a sweet smile!

Mommy & Aiden enjoying the time outdoors

While in CA, my sister took us to Runyun Trail. It was beautiful! We were able to see the Hollywood sign, Hollywood, and downtown LA from above. The easy part was going down the mountain, coming back up was quite another story...imagine this: Me carrying a 12+lb baby in a bjorn, Jim pushing David in a jogging stroller, my sister, Jamie 6 months pregnant, and my mom who has just recently sprained her ankle...nice crowd who decided that going all the way DOWN the hill was a great idea! :) We had a blast, despite the workout!

Our family checking out the scenery

We felt on top of the world, well at least on top of the worlds largest bench. Even our feet couldn't touch the ground

Big man standing over the city!!

Our sweet boy, he had a great time!!
We have lots of other pictures to post, once we download them from our phones, my particular favorite of the hike was when we saw the "farm" on the mountain. Stay tuned to see...
